The work deals with the subjective, yet universal context of the "soul."

The portrayal of the soul, and perhaps the path traversed to its realization, whether by introspection, spiritual or physical death, faith, or transfiguration is defined as color, line, and image manifest as multiple threads of subconscious responses.
Formal elements are metaphysically connected to the life force itself. Figuration, and elusive archetypes are edited by automatism. The body of work becomes manifestation of responses to nature and psychological states elicited by string music in minor keys.
The work aspires to an abstracted condition, the condition of music, that as "Nietzsche stated, was able to give to man the direct knowledge of the nature of the world unknown to his reason."
